Our treatment in detail...
1. Application
We section the hair then thoroughly apply our product to the scalp and roots of hair. Our careful method ensures no part of the scalp or habitable hair is missed.
2. First comb-out
While the product is in the hair we do a thorough comb-out with a plastic comb, parting the hair into fine sections and combing from the root to catch all the lice.
The product is left on for a minimum of 20 minutes, or until the comb-out is complete.
3. Hair wash
We wash the hair thoroughly, shampooing twice to get all the product out, followed by a light condition.
4. Second comb-out
Now the hair is clean we comb through again, this time with a tight metal comb to get as many eggs out as possible.
5. Hot comb
On occasion, if there are a very large number of eggs, we use a very hot comb through the hair.
6. Dry/Optional braid
Finally, we dry off the hair and, if required, braid the hair.
7. Follow-up treatment
We provide you with a bottle of our in-house head lice treatment to take home and apply within 7 to 10 days. This is precautionary only, in the unlikely event that there are any live eggs still left in the hair.
